Stage 1: Data Validation
We begin by comparing the candidate’s data with the security features of the driving license through our secure platform. This stage complies with ICAO Document 9303 and ISO/IEC 7501-1 standards.
Key Checks Include:
- Document Type:
Confirming the type of license. - Issuing Country:
Verifying the license’s country of origin. - Personal Details:
Ensuring the subject’s full name and date of birth match.
- Expiry Date:
Checking the validity of the license. - MRZ Codes:
Validating the Machine Readable Zone codes. - Required Fields:
Ensuring all necessary data fields are present and correct.
Our Driving License Validation ensures the authenticity of any driving license issued in the candidate’s country of residence. The process adheres to security standards set by the issuing authority and is conducted in two stages.
Stage 2: Technical Validation
This advanced stage supplements the initial checks by identifying tampering or forgery through detailed analysis, including:
- Document/Data Structure: Ensuring the format is consistent with standards.
- Metadata:
Checking for digital inconsistencies. - 3D Analysis:
Examining the physical integrity of the document.
- Color Alignment:
Verifying color consistency. - Typeface Cutbacks:
Identifying irregularities in fonts or text. - Zoning: Ensuring all sections of the document are accurate and complete.
If we detect red flags and cannot verify the document, our Fraud Expert will manually review it. This process may add up to two days to the turnaround time to ensure a final, decisive result.
Additional Manual Review:
If discrepancies are detected, our Fraud Expert may perform a manual review to confirm the findings. This step may add up to two days to the processing time to ensure a “Decisional” result with complete accuracy.
This two-stage process guarantees a thorough and reliable validation of driving licenses, adhering to the highest standards of security and compliance.

After a check, whether it results in a “CLEAR” or “REVIEW” status, a report is generated with the following key features:
